Staff farewells:
At our year-end assembly on Thursday morning, we took a moment to recognize the staff members who will be leaving Elder’s Mills. Rather than saying “goodbye,” we chose to say au revoir—“until we meet again”—because at Elder’s Mills P.S., we know that once an Eagle, always an Eagle.
As communicated, the following staff will not be returning to Elder’s Mills for the 2026 - 2027 school year. We extend our heartfelt thanks for their dedication, care, and service to our school community:
Mme Bianco, Ms. Jacob, Mme Gungadin, Mme Bianchi and Mme Korinis.
As we say goodbye to some familiar faces, we are also excited to welcome new team members to Elder’s Mills and wish to extend a warm welcome to: Mme Vittoria Leone, Principal and Mme Nazzicone, teacher.
School Organization for 2026 - 2027
Students will learn about their class placement on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 8, 2026. As in previous years, homeroom teacher information will be available in Edsby by the end of the week prior to school reopening.
Details about where to go and what to expect on the first day will be shared with families by email during the first week of September.
Report Cards Sent home - June 24
Paper copies of report cards were sent home this week. They will also be available in the Family Dashboard. You will receive an email when your child’s report card is available.
For families who do not yet have a Family Dashboard account, you can sign up for an account at any time at family.yrdsb.ca. You can find information on how to create an account on the Board website or in this instructional video.
The Family Dashboard gives parents/guardians secure one-stop access to information and applications related to your child’s education. It is designed to make it easier for families to engage with their child’s education.

School Council
The Elder’s Mills School Council has provided valuable support to both the school and wider community this year. Through the collective fundraising efforts of the Council and the school, we were able to implement several enhancements to school programs and resources, as outlined in our annual fundraising plan. These efforts also helped create opportunities for community engagement.
